 Keynote Speakers

Local Keynote Speaker: Gregg Doyel, Sports Columnist, Indianapolis Star
Gregg Doyel is a sports columnist for the Indianapolis Star, formerly a national sports writer for CBSSports.com, who four times has been named the country's top sports columnist by the Associated Press Sports Editors. Doyel has earned 15 APSE Top 10 awards, eight for columns, including firsts in 2014, '17, '19 and '22. This year, he was named to the second annual Indiana 250, a list of the state's most influential and impactful business and community leaders. Doyel's Indianapolis Star article, "Don't let anti-vaxxers lie to you about Damar Hamlin like they did with Bert Smith" spread across national headlines in January 2023. The article highlighted disinformation by the anti-vaccine movement related to medical emergencies in sports amid COVID-19 vaccinations.

National Keynote Speaker: Dr. Georgina Peacock, Director of the Immunization Services Division, CDC
Dr. Georgina Peacock is the Director of the Immunization Services Division (ISD) in the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) at CDC. In this role, Dr. Peacock oversees support of immunization programs, provider and public education, and evaluation and research. Dr. Peacock formally served as the Director for the Division of Human Development and Disability (DHDD) in the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD). During her 15 years with CDC, Dr. Peacock has been dedicated to developing and implementing public health programs that support children and adults in underserved populations to lead healthy lives and be productive members of their communities.
